Hello! Here I am again, with some more not-so-new stuff, but we will get there! This time I’m posting a couple of non-related different illos: first one is AI + PS and it was intended for a ConceptArt activity for an undersea utopia from a while ago… I drew many sketches but this was the only thing I brought to a sort of finished level, and I didn’t end up submitting anything but it was fun anyway. Second one is an illo I made for my friend Araceli on her birthday, it’s acrylics on paper.  Hope you like them!

Hola perinola! Acá estoy de vuelta, posteando nuevamente cosas no muy nuevas, pero ya llegaremos! Esta vez les dejo un par de ilus nada relacionadas entre sí: la primera (AI + PS) iba a ser supuestamente parte de mi entry para una actividad en ConceptArt que giraba en torno al concepto de utopía submarina… hice varios bocetos y cosas sueltas, pero esto fue lo único que hice a un nivel medianamente terminado, así que al final no participé, pero igual estuvo divertido hacerlo. La segunda es acrílico sobre papel, y la hice como regalo de cumpleaños para mi amiga Araceli. Espero les gusten!

Naked (or semi-naked!) girls are fun to draw! The first two were a really fun job I got to do a while ago, I had to make a color (illustrator + ps) and a B/W version (just illustrator), I gotta say it was great to do something without color for a change, and having to use the lines to convey the effects I wanted. The bottom two are some doodling experiments with vynilic gouache (these were meade with Flashe paint) that I really enjoyed, since it’s opaque and matte just like gouache, but it dries fast and permanently like acrylics, so you can apply endless layers of it without messing up what’s already there (and I’m a VERY messy artist! So it was just perfect for me).

La verdad es que las chicas desnudas (o semi!) son siempre muy divertidas de dibujar! Las dos primeras imágenes las hice para un trabajo muy copado que me tocó hacer hace poco, tuve que hacer una versión en color (illustrator + potochop) y una en blanco y negro (sólo illustrator), y estuvo muy bueno poder hacer algo sin color para variar, fue un desafío para mí usar sólo la línea y el pleno para lograr los efectos que quería. Los dos últimos son unos rápidos experimentos en gouache vinílico (pintura Flashe, en este caso, para ser mas exactos) que me encantó, porque es mate y opaco como el gouache común y corriente, pero seca super rápido y de manera permanente, por lo que podés poner muchas capas y no se te mueve todo lo de abajo (lo cual es doblemente bueno para mí porque hago enchastres tremendos cada vez que pinto jeje).

Here’s a couple of things I hadn’t posted before. I’m gonna try my best to update this thing more often and get up to date with all the stuff I’ve been forgetting to post, so if you happen to be one of those people who check Gorilla Artfare or my ConceptArt sketchbook somewhat regularly, you might have seen most of the stuff I’m posting (and will be for a while), so please bear with me for a bit.

So here are a couple of fanart pics: Jamie Hewlett fanart made in Illustrator + PS, and a fanart of Fed’s LMS round 2 pic, in my own style, in gouache on paper. Hope you like!

Acá les dejo un par de cosas que se me pasó subir anteriormente, dado que estoy en plan (de nuevo!) de ponerme al día con el blog y poner todo lo que me vengo olvidando. Así que si por una de esas casualidades sos una de esas personas que visitan Gorilla Artfare o my sketchbook en ConceptArt con cierta regularidad, es posible que ya hayas visto estas cosas, y las que vaya agregando por un buen rato, por lo que me disculpo por la redundancia.

En fin, soltada ya la perorata, dejo acá un par de piezas de “fanart”: un tributo a Jamie Hewlett (Illustrator y Potochó), y mi visión personal de la pintura que hizo Fede para la segunda ronda del LMS (más abajo), en gouache sobre papel. Espero que les gusten!
